Piraeus Port Train
The Suburban Train (Proastiakos) links the Port of Athens with the city and El. Venizelos Airport. The A1 Suburban Train (Piraeus-Athens-Athens International Airport) runs from Piraeus Port, calling at various stations on its way. However, it doesn’t reach the city center. Thus, travelers who are looking for a traffic-independent way to get to downtown Athens typically settle on a metro ride. In any case, the Piraeus port train runs to Athens Central Station (Stathmos Larissis), located 2,5km/1,5 mile from the city center. From that station, passengers can change to lines traveling to various intercity destinations all over Greece. Moreover, trains also stop at Kato Acharnai Station. From there, travelers can hop on lines to Kiato.
